The BRD Enhanced 45 Bolt assembly is designed for AR-15 style rifles chambered for .45 ACP with a direct blowback system. This bolt is weighted with Tungsten weights adding up to 16 ounces total in order to eliminate the need for heavy buffers. This added weight is necessary for blowback firearms because it helps to delay the bolt from moving rearward just long enough for pressures to reach a safe level. Depending on your setup, it can also reduce felt recoil and reduce the amount of bolt bounce. It features a full size .308 style extractor that can be removed for cleaning.
