The Comstock Armory Extended 9mm Flash Hider (SKU: fhxl-12-9-pw) is a specialized, long-format muzzle device designed specifically for “pin and weld” applications on short barrels to meet legal rifle length requirements. The fhxl-12-9-pw is the elongated version of Comstock’s flagship flash hider. It is engineered for shooters building 9mm carbines (PCCs) or 5.56 rifles who need extra length to reach a non-NFA 16-inch overall barrel length from a 13.7″ or 13.9″ barrel.Â
- Extended Reach: specifically designed to provide the necessary length for permanent attachment (pin and weld) while maintaining full suppressor compatibility.
- Plan-B Compatible: functions as a high-precision mount for the .900″-24 adapter system, including the Comstock LPA, Q Plan-B, and Rearden Atlas.
- Pre-drilled for Pin & Weld: features a factory-drilled hole at the 6 o’clock position to simplify permanent installation.
- Flash Mitigation: the internal chamber and port geometry are optimized to disrupt muzzle flash, even with the high-pressure gas of shorter barrels.
- No Timing Required: the rotationally symmetric design allows for direct-to-shoulder installation without shims
