JP Enterprises Gen 2 Silent Capture Spring Builder Kit – AR-15

The JP Enterprises Gen 2 Silent Captured Spring Builder Kit gives AR-15 builders a tunable version of JP’s self-contained recoil system. It combines the standard Gen 2 Silent Captured Spring assembly with five alternative-weight springs, allowing the recoil system to be tailored more closely to the rifle’s operating characteristics.

The captured design replaces the traditional loose buffer and spring arrangement with a guided, self-contained assembly that helps reduce conventional buffer spring noise and delivers a smoother cycling feel. The included spacer allows installation in either carbine- or rifle-length buffer tubes.

The additional spring pack makes this kit especially useful for builders who want more flexibility when tuning gas, ammunition, bolt carrier mass, or other operating variables.

Compatibility Note

JP Enterprises states that this Silent Captured Spring configuration will not function with older Primary Weapons Systems bolt carriers. The carrier design prevents proper cycling with the SCS system.

Because the Builder Kit is intended for tuning, spring selection should be matched to the rifle’s specific gas system, ammunition, bolt carrier mass, and operating setup.
