The reduced dwell time of the ODIN Works XL Rifle system offers the possibility of reduced impulse feel and increased accuracy. It can also take cartridges with higher pressures. The 5/8×24 muzzle thread pattern to fit standard AR-10 / LR308 muzzle devices, factory M4 type feed ramps for easy feeding, and a Button-Rifled 1:8″ twist rate. NOTE: No other cartridge has the buzz that has been created surrounding the 6.5 Creedmoor lately. After plenty of testing and results by US Spec Ops Command, the 6.5 Creedmoor was shown to be the better cartridge of the 3 tested. Now, 6.5 Creedmoor is set to take the place of the aging 7.62 NATO caliber by replacing the existing US Military Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle 7.62×51 NATO caliber barrels with new 6.5 Creedmoor ones. The 6.5 Creedmoor and the 7.62×51 are so similar in size that the only change needed is the barrel. Even the magazines from the current 7.62×51 NATO rifles work with the new 6.5 Creedmoor round.

NOTE: 416R is a Crucible brand steel and it was formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.
