KynSHOT Precision .308 Shorty Carbine Recoil Damper – 2.5″
The KynSHOT RB5004 “Shorty” is a hydraulic recoil buffer designed for compatible AR-10 rifles using a standard 7-inch-deep Mil-Spec carbine receiver extension. Its compact design replaces factory buffers measuring about 2.5 inches, making it suitable for many large-frame AR configurations that use an M4-length buffer tube.
KynSHOT’s patented hydraulic system absorbs energy generated by the bolt carrier during rearward travel, helping reduce felt recoil by 30% or more while limiting bolt speed and bounce. The result is a smoother recoil impulse, reduced muzzle movement, and quicker target reacquisition.
Built from high-strength 17-4 stainless steel and manufactured with Mil-Spec hydraulic fluids and seals, the RB5004 is designed for demanding use across a wide operating-temperature range.
