The KynSHOT RB5015HD Heavy Damped hydraulic recoil buffer is engineered for pistol-caliber carbines that need increased shock absorption and more aggressive recoil control. Its heavier damping characteristics are designed for higher-stress PCC configurations, including suppressed systems, hotter ammunition, and builds using barrels 8 inches or longer.

KynSHOT’s patented hydraulic system absorbs energy from the rearward movement of the bolt, helping reduce felt recoil by up to 30% while minimizing bolt speed, bolt bounce, muzzle rise, and sight movement. The result is smoother cycling and faster target reacquisition compared with a conventional solid buffer.

The RB5015HD uses high-strength 17-4 stainless steel construction with Mil-Spec hydraulic fluids and seals for durability across a wide operating-temperature range. Its length is specifically tuned for PCC applications to help control bolt travel without requiring a separate spacer in a standard 7-inch-deep carbine receiver extension.

Compatibility Note

KynSHOT recommends the RB5015HD for 9mm PCCs with 8-inch or longer barrels and for suppressed PCC configurations. It works with virtually any buffer spring and with A5/AR-10 receiver extensions with a 7.75-inch internal depth when used with the appropriate KynSHOT spacer weight.

For CMMG Radial Delayed Blowback systems, KynSHOT states that no spacer weight is required with an A5/AR-10 tube. However, when using a carbine-length buffer tube with a CMMG Radial Delayed Blowback bolt carrier group, KynSHOT recommends the RB5000HP instead.
